Storm Damage Cleanup and Restoration

The Greater Council Bluffs/Missouri Valley area is no stranger to flooding. Heavy amounts of rainfall along the Missouri Valley River Basin can cause the surrounding low-lying ground to become saturated. During these times, water tables start to rise and many homes experience groundwater flooding. In 2011, Pottawattamie County and Harrison County in Iowa experienced massive flooding due to the Missouri River reaching peak flood levels. Heavy snowfall and near-record rainfall in Montana and Wyoming caused six major dams along the Missouri River to reach capacity. The dams began releasing large amounts of water to prevent overflow, and this resulted in flooding of many Western Iowa locations including Council Bluffs, Missouri Valley, Decatur, and Little Sioux. During the Missouri River Flood of 2011, SERVPRO of Council Bluffs/Missouri Valley was privileged to help many home and business owners on the road to restoration. Our aim with any disaster is to make it "Like it never even happened."
